My husband and I went on our first date 23 Dec 1994. We got married 23 June 2001. He had a liver transplant 23 Dec 2005. We celebrate the 23rds in our life :)

Actually, we have only been together on our anniversary two or three times, so we usually celebrate Dec 23rd because we have always been together that day.

There isn't a rule about celebrating, thank goodness :) So just enjoy!

I'm probably not the one to ask as I read "monthiversary" with raised eyebrows.

I vote for just celebrating your wedding anniversary once a year but doing it up big. Forget dinner out--think a trip to Barbados! (Unless you're in Barbados in which case you should think a trip to Nova Scotia.)

Well, the way I see it is that I'm allowed to acknowledge out loud yearly dating anniversaries, and I still think of that before my wedding anniversary. Although, now I'm getting to the point they both match. I see nothing wrong with telling Will, "hey, it's our whatever anniversary," and expect at least a little bit of affection to go along with it. :)

I dunno. After being married for 40 years, you don't say oh We've been married 40 years but we were dating for 2 years 8 months before that. I getcha though. When we get married next year, I don't really want to give up the dating anniversary right away.
