Since my last post was all “my god the stress! the distress! make it stop aaahhhh!” I figured, with it being Saturday night and all, that I would take some time to point out some kind of awesome stuff that has happened lately because, really, can’t we all use a pick-me-up right about now?
I am all caught up with work. Alllllll caught up. And have several projects in the works that? Are exactly where they should be. Me no more behindo. The relief of this makes me almost giddy.
My bank account (as of this moment anyway) is firmly in the black and today I paid my (ginormous) cable/internet/phone bill which means that I can order movies from On Demand without stressing out about it. And yes I will gladly pay the extra fifty cents to watch something via On Demand because it saves me the trouble of remembering to return the damn dvd on time and the walk over there in the summer weather.
My apartment? Is clean. It is cleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean. It got a (mostly) thorough clean out (I’m saving the back bedroom for next weekend) and scrub down today while Will was at work and can I just tell you? The relief at having a clean house borders on the level of relief I feel at having caught up with work.
Right now Will is playing his video game and I’m on the futon. I’ve been watching Sex and the City on DVD (I seem to be going through a phase) on my laptop and I’ll probably go back to it after posting this blog entry. It is kind of a perfect evening in.
And? It turns out that Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” is the perfect song to follow “Dear Prudence” by the Beatles. I know this because iTunes shuffle mode told me so.
