Today has been spent mostly packing and cleaning the house to get ready for our trip. I wanted to take my time with this entry but my friend (and house sitter!) Katie will be here any minute and I don’t want her to have to sit around and wait while I type this up. Damn me and my procrastination!

Because we are coming up on Spring Break for most colleges and because Will and I are off on our own “Getaway” (such as it is), I want to know what your ideal vacation would be. If budgets and time weren’t issues, where would you go, how long would you stay there, what would you do while you were there and why? If your ideal getaway is simply staying at home and vegging out, you can enter that too!
Now the legal stuff: This, once again, is for US Residents only (sad face) and will go until Sunday (March 29) night. I know if its a number generator I won’t win b/c when does it ever pick one?
I would go on a beach luxury hotel vacation in australia for like a month. Dreams!

I’ve always wanted to go to New York City. I would go on the vacation in December. I would be there for Christmas and stay through New Years. I would want to stay at least 2 weeks or so. I want to be able to tour the city and take a lot of pictures. And I’d stay in The Plaza hotel. And I’d order all kinds of junk food like the kid did in Home Alone. And go swimming in their indoor pool….. Oh… how nice that would be…..

I’ve always wanted to stay in a house right on the beach..and I mean RIGHT on the beach so I could walk outside in the morning and put my feet in the ocean. It would have to come with a boat. I’d love to stay at least a week and just lounge around on the beach all day and I’d want to bring my three dogs with me so they could play in the ocean too. I think I’d live in my swimsuit all week.

My ideal vacation would be…long. I mean, my really ideal vacation would probably start by picking up my friend in Pennsylvania and then hitting Disney World, and then going over to England for I don’t know how long and using RyanAir to hop around several other countries while we’re there. And then probably go home via Japan or something, with a few days there, and stop in at Hawaii on the way.
I’m easy to please. :p
