Today I woke up thinking two things:
1. Wow! I feel really motivated and like I could really focus and get a bunch of stuff done while Will is at school!
2. Wow! I have absolutely no desire to get dressed in regular clothes or sit in a regular chair today. That couch is seriously calling my name!
A conundrum upon waking is always a good sign for the day, don’t you think? Thank god for blanket nests on the couch and working from home because those are what allow me to be productive and stay in my pajamas.
The only problem is that now that I am ensconced in my blanket nest, I no longer want to work. I just want to curl up and sleep! Actually, this is usually how I feel about an hour into my work day so maybe it isn’t the blanket nest’s fault.
Over the weekend I was determined to turn this week into one of those incredibly productive “oh my god look at her go!” weeks. But between this being Will’s last week of classes, the pressure of having to get a ton of stuff done in the next seven days so that I can leave for Texas without feeling guilty and like I’m leaving my clients in the lurch eating at me, and it being a certain week in which I will no doubt really hate being a girl, I have pretty much decided that any sort of a regular schedule will have to wait until after we get back from Texas. Until then I’m going to do the best I can with what energy and concentration I can muster up. And really, that’s the best that anybody can do, right?

There should be a blanket nest day requirement every week. Monday, tuesday, blanket nest day, thursday, friday. It helps with sanity.
What’s going on in Texas?
